Date nights are all about the ambiance. At Orlando’s finest Thai Silk Restaurant we found a beautiful atmosphere with over-sized booths, perfect for a romantic dinner and pleasant conversation. Thai Silk was a delight for both our senses and appetite with their delicious mouthwatering cuisine.
A friend of mine recommended Thai Silk for a great exotic evening. So, I started by making reservations on-line, which was easy and very convenient, it is located on the main page of their website. My husband and I arrived a few minutes early and were quickly seated. The walls were adorned with beautiful Thai finery, flattering lighting and romantic ambiance.
We were well taken care of by our server, who was pleasant, personable and very helpful, since we weren’t sure what to order. Our meals arrived in a timely manner and hot.
The wine and appetizers were fabulous. I started with a soul warming soup, Potak, a combination of lemongrass and lime broth with shrimp, squid, scallops, onion, basil and scallions. My husband had Angel Wings, stuffed chicken wings with glass noodles and vegetables, battered and deep fried, served with sweet Thai sauce. Both were equally delicious.
For the main event, I had the famous Green Curry, made with chicken, green peppers, green beans, eggplant, basil in coconut milk and spicy green curry paste, a little too spicy for my husband but I loved it. My husband went with the recommended House Duck, boneless roasted duck served on steamed vegetables topped with homemade ginger and onion sauce. It was amazing; he was pleasantly surprised by how succulent it was.
We ended the perfect meal by sharing deep fried cheesecake topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream, which was to die for!
Thank you Thai Silk for making date night one to remember, just thinking of the incredible taste makes my mouth water. I would definitely recommend it for any occasion.
